Luigi Mangione, suspect in killing of UnitedHealth CEO held by police in Pennsylvania


Police apprehended a key "person of interest" on Monday in connection with the bold Manhattan killing of UnitedHealthcare's CEO, after a sharp-eyed McDonald's employee in Pennsylvania notified authorities about a customer found with a weapon and writings tying him to the ambush.


The 26-year-old suspect was found with a gun believed to be the one used in the killing, along with writings expressing his resentment toward corporate America, according to police. He was arrested after authorities received a tip that he was dining at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania, as confirmed by NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch during a press conference.
